Strategic Growth Plan

Under the leadership of Dr. Douglas Wakhu, the Church has developed comprehensive strategic plans for Kima Mission Hospital and other healthcare institutions, positioning for future growth and excellence.

Church of God Medical Ministry

The medical ministry has been an integral component of the Church of God in East Africa (Kenya) since the church established its mission work in Kenya in 1905. From its inception, the Church recognized that spiritual growth, quality healthcare, and education were inseparable pillars of holistic human development.

This vision led to the establishment of Mwihila Mission Hospital and Kima Mission Hospital, which later inspired the development of several additional healthcare facilities, including Mundoli, Bushiangala, Mutsasa, Ingotse, Kilgoris, and Lolgorian Health Centres.

Over the years, the Church's medical ministry has continued to evolve despite numerous challenges involving administration, staffing, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment.

To strengthen this ministry and position it for future growth, the Church appointed Dr. Douglas Wakhu as its first Medical Consultant. Dr. Wakhu led a multidisciplinary team that undertook comprehensive assessments of the Church's healthcare institutions and developed strategic plans for 2025-2029.

Successful implementation of these strategic plans will position the Church of God (East Africa-Kenya) as a stronger contributor to quality faith-based healthcare in Kenya.
